How We Work

Our Process

Every project follows the same clear steps. No guessing, no surprises.

Phase 01
Plan
Consult, scope, and set the foundation

Free Consultation & Walkthrough

We schedule a time to walk the project together. No fee, no obligation. Our team shows up in person, asks the right questions, and listens to what you actually want — not just what's easiest to build.

Detailed Written Scope of Work

Every project gets a written scope that spells out exactly what will be done, what materials will be used, and what is and isn't included. No verbal agreements that get fuzzy later. Everything in writing, reviewed together before anything starts.

Transparent Pricing, No Vague Estimates

You get a clear number, not a range. We break down costs so you know what you're paying for. There are no surprises at the end of a job because we don't hide anything at the beginning.

Timeline Established Before Work Begins

You'll know the start date, the major milestones, and the projected completion before any work is scheduled. That timeline is committed to, not guessed at, and any changes to it are communicated proactively.

Phase 02
Build
Execute with precision, communicate constantly

Licensed Trade Professionals, Coordinated by Our Team

Every trade on your project — framing, plumbing, electrical, tile, finish work — is handled by vetted, licensed trade professionals we have worked with and trust. You don't have to vet anyone. We manage the entire crew.

Regular Updates — Before You Have to Ask

You will not have to chase us for information. We provide updates proactively, whether that's a daily text during active phases or a weekly check-in during longer stretches. The silence that drives homeowners crazy simply does not happen here.

Any Changes Approved Before Work Proceeds

If something comes up during construction that affects scope or cost, we stop and talk before moving forward. You never get a surprise invoice after the fact. Every change order is discussed, priced, and approved in writing before work continues.

Jobsite Kept Clean Daily

We respect that this is your home, not a construction warehouse. Debris is contained, tools are organized, and the work area is cleaned at the end of every workday. Tradespeople who don't meet this standard don't work on ProHome projects.

Phase 03
Deliver
Finish the job right, then follow through

Final Walkthrough Together

When the project is complete, We walk through every room and every detail with you. This isn't a handoff — it's a review. You inspect the work, we inspect the work, and we make sure you're genuinely happy before we consider the job done.

Punch List Addressed Immediately

If anything comes out of the walkthrough that needs attention, it goes on a list and gets scheduled right away — not after the next project, not when we get around to it. Punch list items are treated with the same priority as the original build.

Follow-Up After Move-In

A few weeks after you're settled back in, We check in. Not to sell you the next project — just to make sure everything is performing as expected and that you're still happy with the result. This follow-up is part of how we've maintained a 100% referral rate.

Warranty on Workmanship

Our work is backed by a workmanship warranty. If something we built or installed isn't performing the way it should, we come back and make it right. Period. We stand behind every project we complete.

Why It Works

Most contractor problems are really communication problems

Ask anyone who has had a bad experience with a contractor. Rarely is the complaint about craftsmanship alone. The complaint is almost always: they disappeared. They changed the price at the end. I didn't know who was coming when. I couldn't get a straight answer.

Our entire process is designed to prevent exactly those things. The written scope eliminates misunderstandings. The proactive updates eliminate anxiety. The pre-approved change orders eliminate surprise costs. The final walkthrough eliminates regret.

When the process is built around communication, everything else gets easier — including the actual construction.

One contact, start to finish

Our principal is on every project. No handoffs, no rotating project managers, no confusion about who to call.

No surprise costs, ever

Everything is priced upfront. Change orders are approved before work proceeds, not billed after the fact.

Updates before you ask

We reach out first. You'll always know what's happening on your project without having to chase anyone down.

100% referral rate

Every ProHome client would send a friend or neighbor our way. That's not marketing — that's the result of doing things right.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers about how we work, what to expect, and how we handle the tough parts.

How long does the planning phase take before work can start?
It depends on the scope. A bathroom remodel can be scoped and priced within a week of the consultation. A full home remodel or complex backyard build may take two to three weeks to properly document and price. We don't rush the planning phase because a good scope prevents nearly every problem that happens during construction.
What happens if something unexpected comes up during construction?
We call you immediately, explain what we found, and give you options with clear pricing before any work continues. Hidden water damage, unexpected framing issues, or anything else that changes the scope gets communicated right away. You decide how to proceed with full information — no pressure, no surprises billed after the fact.
Do I need to be home while the work is happening?
No. Many of our clients are at work during the day and trust us to run the jobsite responsibly. We'll keep you updated throughout the day via text or photos, and we never enter or leave the property without letting you know. You'll always know who is on site and what they're working on.
How do you handle permits?
We handle all permitting as part of the project. If a permit is required for your project, we pull it, we schedule inspections, and we get it closed out properly. Skipping permits to save time or money is not something we do — it creates real risk for homeowners when it comes time to sell or refinance.
What does "warranty on workmanship" actually mean?
It means if something we installed, built, or finished stops working correctly or develops a defect that is clearly related to how it was installed — not normal wear and tear — we come back and fix it. The terms are covered in writing in your contract. We stand behind the work because we're proud of it.
